Smart Dogs was founded in 1997 by Amanda (who now has over 20 years experience) and is a well established Dog grooming business based in Ashford, Kent offering additional services.

Amanda has continuously worked with dogs since she was 14 years old.   She started  working at a kennels during the weekends and in her school holidays.  Once Amanda left school, at sixteen, she joined the kennels full time for a further two years. 
 

During her time at the kennels she completed a NVQ level 2 in small animal care which lead Amanda into her career today as a dog groomer.  She studied at Bishops Stortford for 2 months where the tutor was a euro groomer by the name of Angela Caley, who has herself has won several competitions. 
 

We offer a purpose built air conditioned grooming salon with both electric bath and tables. Our Shampoo products that we use are Hypoallergenic, which helps reduce flakiness and to soothe, protect and help restore the natural balance in your dogs skin.

At Smart Dogs we cater for all types of dogs ranging from toy to giant breeds. We pride ourselves on listening to our customers and will carry out grooms to either a breed standard or your own personal taste.

All our grooming staff are trained to a City and Guilds standard and regularly attend seminars to keep up to date with all the latest grooming standards and latest products.

We also have a first aid qualified groomer on site at all times.
